Instructions to make Qeema Biryani:
- In a pot add oil and fry onions until golden. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute
- Add qeema and all the whole spices. Cook until qeema changes colour
- Now add all the powdered spices, aloo bukharay along with yoghurt and cook for 15 minutes.
- Add tomatoes, potatoes and a little water and cover and cook until qeema and potatoes are done
- Uncover and cook on high flame until oil separates. Switch off flame
- In a separate pot add water salt and zeera.
- When water is hot add pre soaked rice to it and cook until 3/4th done. Strain and set aside
- Now start layering. Put a little rice at bottom. Then put all the masala. Put sliced tomatoes and hara masala over it. Sprinkle food colour. Now put remaining rice on it and again sprinkle food colour.
- Sprinkle jaifal and javitri powder. Put fried onions on top. Cover and cook on dum for 20 minutes.
